It is clogging up traffic at a very bad time of year(i.e. holidays) and citizens of louisville are being made to suffer because of it. Today i witnessed a traffic cop at Barret and Goddard Avenues berate a woman (she became confused by his directions i guess) to the point of abuse. The officer had stopped an already long line of cars to allow a truck to dump a load of sand that clearly could have waited until traffic died down. We are being treated poorly by these officers in to "protect" these workers who are wasting our tax dollars! It is maddening. Maybe i just don't like paying $3.19 a gallon/gas to sit in traffic while our city pours money down the drain !! It's a lose lose situation for me and my fellow Louisvillians!
I don't think there's any road work going on around Barret and Goddard Avenues. It sounds more like water pipe repairs or sewer work to me. Suggesting that the traffic cop waits until all traffic is gone sounds a little bit ludicrous to me. Nobody likes waiting in traffic but that dump truck burns a lot more fuel than a passenger sedan. Perhaps you're one of these people who feel like all traffic lights should automatically switch to green when your car approaches. Cry me a river.
