Today I question Steve Langford’s IQ and or sanity.
Alright Steve, since you last invited me on to share my views on the hotbutton segment, I’ve actually grown quite fond of your opinion on many things. Your review of the situation surrounding public opinion and the Imas issue was right on target. But when you come on the air to say something so utterly stupid as what you have said about Nancy Pelosi, I have to wonder if someone wrote that for you because you didn’t have the time or your just having a day off from sanity.
This is pure and simple tabloid partisanship and it is hardly a respectable way to run a television station.
I notice that Steve did not mention ANYTHING about the exact content of these visits Pelosi took to the middle east. Exactly what pelosi was talking about, who exactly she met with an why. You also fail to observe that a large part of our failure in the middle east was do to poor diplomacy that was never used in the first place. You know, “diplomacy”, that thing that keeps us on level terms with friends as well as enemies so that when something bad DOES happen our politicians can at the very least no be questioned that they did not do all they could when they could.
Like they were after 9/11.
We also happen to live in a DEMOCRACY! We are not a closed dictatorship and our politicians have every right to access every avenue they can to seek diplomacy.
Openly calling a country a “terrorist nation” has got to be THE stupidest thing said in the cometary. If you are standing next to an ant hill, you don’t dump honey all over your leg and then kick it. We have already learned from Iraq that we get much more with the karat then the stick. It is about time we AT LEAST start talking to these people.
I applaud Nancy Pelosi, this woman, the first female speaker of the house who went to a muslem nation, a male controlled society, to represent this country in good faith in the interest of peace instead of the usual threats and insults like the ones Steve langford has childishly delivered today.
I would be MORE then happy to appear on hot button to contest Steve Langford on this issue and even debate it if he would be so inclined.
THIS is the kind of thing you said you “Loved” Steve. Lets do this.
Sincerely, Justin La Plante
