Politicians don't want to address this issue because they might have to close down their 'prize closet'. What would Ernie Fletcher do to get reelected if he couldn't hand out his road fund checks to reward those who contribute to his campaign.
Instead calling a special session to discuss an energy bill, he needs to call a special session to start taking steps to resolve our state's under funded pension liabilities. These sessions cost taxpayers in excess of $50,000 a day so they shouldn't be used to make the governor look more gubernatorial.
