Every time I go across the Kennedy bridge, I hum, "Nearer my God to Thee". Funny what a difference a week makes.

Yea Zoo, I know that some of the bridges on the smaller country roads may not be listed,but I do hope that this isnt a mistake,not listing them if they are in bad shape,for there are quiet a few bridges here that are on the backroads.Do you all remember the heavy rains back in `97? The bridge that crossed Chaplin River,just outside of Chaplin in Nelson Co,the water covered the bottom of that old metal bridge and all the boards warped so bad that they just tore the bridge down and put up a new concrete bridge. I forgot how high the water got,and to my knowledge it hasnt been that high since,been close though.

If I see cracks forming as I start to cross, I hurry the he11 across.

Maybe you should consider going on a diet, Homer. It might relieve some of the stress on our local bridges.
