Professors need to be held acountable to taxpayers. While "Dragqueenology" may be politically hip and perhaps more interesting for some to study, it really doesn't seem to impact mainstream society all that much.

U of L has a lot of nerve asking for money just to squander some of it on projects like this.

"U of L appropriated a million dollar grant to be matched with $1-million in taxpayer funds from "Bucks for Brains" to bankroll new research professor Kaila Story."
Looks like somebody has no brains at all for even thinking to fund something like this when our children cant even pray aloud in the school,but the schools will fund garbage like this.Gee ,makes ya wonder how many are dragqueens there? 2 million dollars for this ! What a waste !!!!!

Geezus. What will they think of next. Heck, you don't need $2,000,000 to study drag queens. I am sure they'd be happy to tell you all about themselves and their culture. Just by them a drink; let them talk and take notes. There...research done for $4.25, even cheaper if you can get them there during HAPPY HOUR.

UofL just cut thousands out of the budget, fired scores of people and THEN gives the guy making all the cuts a $90,000.00 annual bonus. Now they want money for a study that will undoubtedly lead to more gay bashing here in the heartland. From the colorful language of this thread so far, I can see it is working. Well,… with Abrassem throwing money away to businesses around and arts center/condo that isn’t even going to be built now, I’m sure UofL will be getting a check for this.
