Have you stopped to consider that the Water Company site is one that could easily be developed by a private (read tax-paying) interest? Build a stadium on that and there are no tax revenues on that land for decades to come. Build on the LG&E site and you leave the Third Street property available for private development and you can spur redevelopment on Main Street or elsewhere with the relocation of Humana. That's in addition to removing the substation monstrosity. Cool

couldn't the reverse be true as well?

I don't believe so. The LG&E substation will cost a considerable amount to relocate and most private developers wouldn't want to mess with it.

From the Courier-Journal:

"Leonard said Cordish "absolutely" is pursuing opportunities to expand 4th Street Live to nearby property. Cordish, for instance, has been looking at trying to acquire some of the land in the "water company block" just east of 4th Street Live where an arena was once proposed."

4th Street Live club would displace 3

okay, help me to understand this...
I heard on the news this morning that they were going to intentionally minimize the amount of parking spaces around the arena to preserve the aesthetic appearance....
So we need a bigger arena, but we don't need a place to park?
I know, I know... I won't be going there anyway but geeze.... how 'bout a little common sense?
