If the arena project is not approved, bonds will not be issued. There is no rational reason to think that not building the arena is going to suddenly result in more soup kitchens or after-hours programs being added to local schools. There are always other things we can spend state money on. To say that we shouldn't pursue an economic development project because all other issues are not fully funded is absolutely ludicrous.
