Good advice here. I have a Flatcoat, a German Shepherd and a shepherd mix. All potentially big shedders, but we don't have much shedding. We also have very little doggie odor, fresh breath and very clean teeth. Also low waste out in the yard. They're all on a raw diet. I won't go into detail here except to say that you should research it and see what you think. Good luck, I know that dog hair everywhere can be such a pain!
If he has a lot of Lab in him your in for a rough time. Labs are dual coated dogs and are almost constantly shedding. Sometimes it is very light and sometimes heavy. If he does have a lot of Lab in him let him swim a couple of times a week. Swimming will stimulate him to develop oils for his coat. I've found that helps tremendously with their shedding. Some people will tell you to cut his coat short. I'm telling you not to. Any good vet will tell you that the coat a dog has naturally he has for a reason. I've seen people shave their dogs in the summer thinking it will help when actually the dogs coat will help them when it gets hot. Mother nature has it all figured out. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with grooming your pooch, just be carefull. ____________________________________________________________________ unsecured business financing | discount wine | pass drug testing

I understand, but in some case there is enough shedding that it can contaminate the environment and put other at risk : I know at least one person, he was a butcher, who had to be put away for a few month because he was shedding enough bacteria ...
