THE TOPIC Accusations among neo-conservative pundits that the Islamic faith in general generates the basis for terrorist theology. The facts so far. The current GOP administration has allocated millions of dollars in cash directly to parties that it had previously claimed were “terrorist” in nature although these parties were later found to truly be fanatic extremists that have been rejected by popular Muslim institutions. The current opinion among the majority of Muslim people (over 90%), is that acts of suicide bombing and insurgency of any kind do not stand as representative of the Islamic faith. Opposing viewpoints have so far provided little more than speculation on the opinion of biased sources when sighting Islam as a theological basis for terror.
