You're probably wasting your breath, canon_photo. Somewhere along the line, someone has told Justin about all the awful things that America and / or the white race has done to other people. Being a liberal thinker, he has decided for himself that he's going to differentiate himself by being quick to defend other groups being supposedly trounced upon by America and / or the white race.

Don't get me wrong. Both America and the white race have done some horrible things in the past. The Tuskegee Study, the use of fire hoses on peaceful black protesters during civil rights protests, and the Japanese internment during WW II would be some good examples.

My contention is that you can't continue to condemn forever America and / or the white race for atrocities that happened decades ago if America and the white race has demonstrated an abandonment of the kind of thinking that led to those horrible events. I'm in no way suggesting that we forget that these events occurred. I'm just suggesting that we recognize them as 'sins of the fathers' and let them go.

Getting back to Justin's over eagerness to defend the Muslim population, I'm sure his intentions are all good. He perceives that the Muslim community is being painted with a broad brush and he wants to correct that. The problem caused by his over eagerness to defend his Muslim brethren is that he chooses to ignore some of the troubling signs you've pointed out, canon_photo, like the Muslim's sheltering of terrorism. His lack of experience precludes him from knowing that you don't ignore a festering problem until it overwhelms you. In time, Justin will learn better.

Excellent points FT. I have no real expectations that Justin's illusions of peaceful coexistence via politically correct acceptance of the current situation will change... now or in the future. I was just feeding the troll.

Unless there's a philosophical shift in how "peaceful" muslims view those who carry out violence in the name of Islam... the only realistic treatment (notice I didn't say cure) to the current situation happens to be a strong military and changes in our own freedoms concerning privacy. The spread of Christianity in the middle east would help too...

Charles Martel was the first to defeat islam, hopefully we can finish it. Any religion/cult that relies on hate and death to survive usually destroys itself.

My only problem is with the C&C and the mismanagement issues that have put rapists and felons back into our military since this C&C decided it was ok.
I also don’t like the fact that Bush hands out bribes to the REAL Islamic extremists instead of fighting them or even trying to negotiate.
In the military that is called “cowardice”.
It takes a real lack of patriotism to start accusing others of being less American then yourself for something so petty or selfish.
