I have been reading that there is a group called ConnectKentucky that is supposed to be working on getting the entire state access to broadband internet, ant that 85-90 percent of the state can get access now. I live in a rural area, and still can't get it. Has anyone heard of any progress? I need dsl, but I don't want to sign a 15 month contract with Hughes.Net and have the service available the week after I get my system.
People way out in the country shouldn't need broadband. They're too busy raising cows and chicks and harvesting tobacco. Broadband is for city slickers with too much time on their hands.
