Your willingness to be seated in the smoking section, ZOO, suggests to me that you're not easily bothered by second-hand smoke. Perhaps Angel has asthma or some other condition. I would be very doubtful of some breakdown in the ventilation system. If this was the case, the restaurant should have had a sign posted.

you may be right, toast, but I am normally very conscious of smoke, particularly when it is just hanging in the air and you can't escape. Perhaps enough folks complained that they have changed the areas. I do know that when Angel was there, it was freshly opened and not everything may have been operating at that time. I don't know.... All I know is that it was very pleasant and good food.

Zoo the food is very good, and the staff is nice. It is better than the other mexican dive that is across from that motel, down below the 5 star store. Their food was good also, but it was such a small place and it didnt take very long for it to become very crowded..I like this new one better, it is so much more roomier & brighter. Where they had us seated at was right by the windowless window.Smoking on one side of the window and non-smoking on the other side. That just dosent work very well at all. I really dont see how I endured that mess when I smoked, but now I cant stand being around it.Go figure.

Kittyman I think my big problem is allergies, nasal ,I think.Sometimes I have a hard time breathing ,but the drs dosent think it to be asthma. I did smoke from the time I was around 13 until at the ripe old age of 21.{now you know how old I am } Was it hard for me to quit? Not at all. The first two or three days were hard, but after that it was ok. Havent wanted any except one time. As far as the restaurant ventilation goes, I couldnt tell if it was on or not, how do you tell? By the smoke rising to the ceiling? If that is the case, then it was off!!

In most cases, you wouldn't know unless the restaurant has a very low ceiling or the velocity of the air output was unusually strong.
