Free Hugs Scotland

We in the U.S. seem to be so quick to equate any kind of bodily contact as being sexual in nature. I firmly believe that humans have a need to touch and be touched yet everything around us in the States seems to be moving towards preventing that. Even in elementary schools, young girls have been disciplined for hugging other girls, presumably under the no PDA's (Public Displays of Affection) mindset.

What a sad state of affairs we have gotten ourselves into. A hug, I believe, has the power to minimize a lot of hurts and even heal. What a shame that we look upon it as something necessarily sexual. Frowner

I like it...
Physical contact can be very theraputic and healing... unless like Canon, you don't like hugging.
I was amazed at how many people did approach the "free hugs". I am not sure that I would given my suspicious nature.... That is sad.

AMAN French,Raseing two grandchildren I have seen people that would like to hug a poor child that has a crack addicted mother that is standig on the corner wondering if mom was going to feed him tonight or is he going to have to wait til mom is sure she got the money for him some food after she has her drugs! hugs are great except to the people who have gutter mindes!!!
