Francene (84 WHAS) talked about this yesterday. I can see both sides in this case but...
This officer did, in fact, have probable cause for stopping and questioning this guy. I don't feel that the young man was disrespectful. Yes, he may not have been extremely cooperative but he was not disrespectful. All he asked was why he was being questioned. The cop was unprofessional and violated the law himself by threatening to create false charges and cursing at the driver. I think the cop needs to be fired. If a few questions are enough to send this officer over the top, I don't trust his ability to conduct himself professionally in a highly stressful situation.
