Light Sentence For 'Prank' Callers Who Told Families Loved Ones Were Killed

The prosecution was asking for 90 days and 45 days for Michael Higginbotham and Joseph Allgeier respectively. Perhaps if the two young men had been stuck in the pokey for a sustained time, they would have been scared straight and observed the terms of their probation. As it stands, Mr. Allgeier has already been sent back to prison to serve out his three year sentence and Mr. Higginbotham will likely see his probation revoked on his next hearing set for August 23rd.

I can't help but be amazed at how quickly these two young men have wasted their lives. Their parents apparently tried to give them the best shot at life as they both attended Trinity High School. Why would anyone not have taken full advantage of the second chance they were both given?

I am guessing that part of the problem was that their parents gave them TOO much. Until this incident, they probably got bailed out every time they got in trouble and never learned about responsibilty and accountability. Now they are going to learn the hard way!

Round up those they called and let them throw bricks and stones at them in the middle of the street.
