Well he took 1/2 of the total cost ,he said he needed the 1/2 to get the permits and such, and he was gone for about a week or so,didnt show up to do anything. I called and called to no avail. He finally showed up with another guy he sub-contracted to dig the lagoon and I havent seen this dead beat since. I havae went to the county attorney and there is now a warrant out for him and the only way I can /will get my money is if he is stopped by a policeman or someone knows where he is at .He skipped town and I dont know where he is at.
So what do you do? You wait. Thats it. Unless you know where this person is at, that is all you are going to have to do. Wait.
And you shouldnt have to fork out money to get your truck fixed or replaced. Contact your local county attorney and it will cost you nothing at all. We payed out over 1,000.00 to this guy and with him skipping out on us, he is now considered a felon because the amount was over a certain amount. If he gets stopped and they run a check, IF they run a check he will be arrested there on the spot.

9 times out of 10 they will run a check on someone they had to stop. I'm sorry that happened to you Angel. It seems to be the going scam of the century. Take half and then run. A friend of mine called up a moving company. She had to pay $500 up front, the other $500 when they dropped her stuff off. They never showed up and since then(it's been 3 months) the number is disconnected, the building is empty and the BBB said "They change their numbers, addresses and names so often nobody can keep track of them and there's nothing we can do." Soooooooooooo she has lost everything and has to start over. They told her the only thing she may consider but it's costly is a P.I.

Oh yeah I forgot this horrible part of it,they took her car too,but I reckon it became a burden for them so they left it sitting in a parking lot in Gary,Ind. She had to go get it when the police finally found it.

It was found in Gary, Indiana??? Be thankful there wasn't a dead body slumped over the steering wheel! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
