It has been over a year since my truck was involved in an accident. After the accident, I try'd locating, and contacting the persons insurence, to get the repairs to my truck completed. Only to find out, the person had a fake insurence card, or was not cover'd at all. So I contacted the county attorny office, and filed a complaint. To make a long story short, a warrent was issued for the arrest of the person. To this date still I have heard nothing, and when calling to check on the progress of the warrent, I only hear that 1 I can take a local officer to the persons home, and ask that they serve the warrent, 2 wait for the person to be stop'd by officers, and then they will see the warrent when running a check. Meanwhile, my truck sets not drivable, and total'd by 3 different repair shops. And I set without a vehical, waiting for the police to do their job. Is there any way I can get this situation resolved? or can anyone help me?
I agree, MJ that an attorney may be able to help. But there is something wrong when wolf has been wronged, the law ackhowledges that, but will not do their job. So he should spend money on an attorney? That is just wrong.

He does free 30 minute consultation(sp?). He asks for a quick run down of what the problem is(remember you only have 30 minutes and Mark should do most of the talking to assist you). He will tell you what you need to do and what he can do for you. It's up to you to go on it alone and move forward or use Marks help. I don't think the guy should have to get a lawyer either, but this is the real world. MANY important things go unattended. If he lets Mark take his case mmmmmm buddy someones in for it!

Wolf the situation we were in{ it has been about 4 + yrs now } and still in is that we hired a contractor, who was self employed,to dig a septic system for us. My hubby knew this feller and thought he was honest ,he had never had a problem with him before. Well he took 1/2 of the total cost ,he said he needed the 1/2 to get the permits and such, and he was gone for about a week or so,didnt show up to do anything. I called and called to no avail. He finally showed up with another guy he sub-contracted to dig the lagoon and I havent seen this dead beat since. I havae went to the county attorney and there is now a warrant out for him and the only way I can /will get my money is if he is stopped by a policeman or someone knows where he is at .He skipped town and I dont know where he is at. So what do you do? You wait. Thats it. Unless you know where this person is at, that is all you are going to have to do. Wait. And you shouldnt have to fork out money to get your truck fixed or replaced. Contact your local county attorney and it will cost you nothing at all. We payed out over 1,000.00 to this guy and with him skipping out on us, he is now considered a felon because the amount was over a certain amount. If he gets stopped and they run a check, IF they run a check he will be arrested there on the spot.
