Do you all know any Jefferson County public school employee is allowed to search your child without informing you? I disagree with this. I have taken a letter to the school and had it put in my sons file that he is not to be searched unless I am notified. I have informed him to refuse being searched until I am called.
If your son has nothing to hide what is the issue? It is this perspective of permissiveness and "not my child!" that has led to the decline of education in Jefferson County. I do think there should be a witness and not just one teacher or school official.

The problem is I am his mother and have every right to know what goes on concerning my child period. Where does it say "Not my child?" Open mouth insert foot.
So if I understand correctly, no search until Mom is called, regardless. I have no objection to a parent being notified, but do not agree that it must be done first. There are potentially dangerous situations that would quickly escalate if the school was forced to wait for Mom's permission. Sorry, guess we have to agree to disagree on this one.

Guess so. Nobody has the right to force my kid into anything without telling me. Have your own kids one day and you'll see.
