very good point, Zig. I agree. This woman has brought it all upon herself and is not entitled to any special treatment. She must be very behind in her payments for PFCU to already be filing an injunction.

You seem to misunderstand. It is not for the sake of the mother that I feel they should have waited. After all, the woman is in jail. It was the family of the children who had to deal with the "member-owned federally insured credit union" and out of respect for the children yes, they could have waited until after the funeral to worry about how much money their 'members' were going to loose. After all, this is the van that she used to pick her children up from school early in and drive them to their deaths. It was bad enough that the family had to deal with the burial of two innocent children who undoubtedly had very bright futures ahead of them but, to have to clean out a vehicle of their personal belongings from just days prior is in a word callous.
The family did not have to remove personal belongings from the vehicle. This was only a motion and it has not been decided on by the courts. It seems to me that if this vehicle did "drive them to their deaths", the family would be eager to get rid of it. It sounds like you want to blast Park Community Federal Credit Union for am astute business decision. Did they turn you down for a loan or bounce one of your checks???

Amazing. Even in my home town and on a forum such as this it is still possible to find one to sling mud? Wow... I'm... not impressed. Actually no, ziggy, they have not turned me down for a loan. No, they have not bounced a check considering the fact that, being in state law enforcement, we have our own credit union. That coupled with the fact that my wife is in the healthcare field and that we are both responsible penny pinchers I don't believe we'll be needing to worry about any bounced checks. I speak on this topic as a father of four, two of which were very close friends with Greg and Nikki. Perhaps it is merely that my sense of what is right and what is wrong differs so greatly from your own that causes this disagreement between us... perhaps not. Perhaps you defend the actions of Park Community because you are a loyal customer, or even employeed by said establishment. On either point I neither want nor need to know the truth. Simply put, it is my personal belief that Park Community was in the wrong and should have had the respect for the children to wait until after the funeral to act on their financial losses. And no... no snide remarks will change my mind so please save such behavior for the school yard.
Usually when someone says something like, "...I can assure you that neither I, nor many of our friends and family, will ever do business with Park Community and I urge others to do the same", it indicates that they have an axe to grind. I find it hard to believe that you would want to Park Community suffer because of what you perceive to be a "disrespectful" decision to file legal action.
Wouldn't it have been sufficient to simply say that you thought the timing was bad and disrespectful to the family??? Saying that none of your friends will do business with Park Community sounds egotistical and petty. Did you really poll your friends about whether they would patronize Park Community in the future??? Also, is it really that likely that you or your friends would have patronized Park Community any way???
