I can't imagine the state of mind ANYONE would have to be in to shoot innocent children, much less your own flesh and blood. This woman has been portrayed by neighbors and teachers as a "model" mother....always participating in her children's activities and also on the Dean's list. She must have been in a desperate situation and thought there was no other way out. I am not condemning nor defending but having a tough time understanding how this could happen without someone close to her suspecting a mental problem. I only hope that if I ever have friends or family going through a tough time that I can recognize trouble signs and get them the help they need before it's too late. I, too, pray for all those involved ---teachers, fellow students, family members and the poor policemen who had to witness this terrible scene.
In the career that I am in I have seen a lot of disturbing things occur, recently though I have been shocked to the point of total disgust. Not in my career but in the practices of a business that is obviously far more interested in recouping their financial losses than the tragedy that brought about said loss. I am referring to a recent report that Park Community Federal Credit Union has filed an injunction to seize a 1999 Ford Windstar that was being purchased by the woman who murdered her two children.
Now sure, business is business but, to be as disrespectful and cold hearted as to file on the very day of the visitation of those poor children is quite simply deplorable and inexcusable. After seeing how this company is more concerned with making a profit than showing the simplest courtesy to the family of the children by waiting until after the funeral to recoup their losses I can assure you that neither I, nor many of our friends and family, will ever do business with Park Community and I urge others to do the same.

Park Community is not a company - it is a member-owned federally insured credit union. As such, they are required to look after their members' interests. Legal motions take time to work their way through the court system and filing promptly was the prudent thing to do. Would it have been that much better if they had waited a week??? It's just another piece of the mess this woman brought upon herself.
