It is unfortunate that, when the media decides to target a candidate for office, they can make a mountain out of a molehill. Sen. Bunning's comment about Justice Ginsberg didn't sound gleeful. He was stating facts that even lay people are aware of--pancreatic cancer is most often fatal within a short time. Are there exceptions? Of course. However, stating what is a fact is not a crime. Heck, even stating opinions (we're good at that, right?) is not a crime.

The media doesn't force him to open his mouth and stick his foot in it - Jim Bunning does. This is NOT a case of the media twisting someone's remarks. My guess is that you love Jim Bunning because he is an ultra conservative but that doesn't excuse his cruel, thoughtless remarks about Judge Ginsburg. A reckless tongue is a reckless tongue.
