It is unfortunate that, when the media decides to target a candidate for office, they can make a mountain out of a molehill. Sen. Bunning's comment about Justice Ginsberg didn't sound gleeful. He was stating facts that even lay people are aware of--pancreatic cancer is most often fatal within a short time. Are there exceptions? Of course. However, stating what is a fact is not a crime. Heck, even stating opinions (we're good at that, right?) is not a crime.

"advanced stages of senility." Your opinion not based on facts.

The media doesn't force him to open his mouth and stick his foot in it - Jim Bunning does. This is NOT a case of the media twisting someone's remarks. My guess is that you love Jim Bunning because he is an ultra conservative but that doesn't excuse his cruel, thoughtless remarks about Judge Ginsburg. A reckless tongue is a reckless tongue. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Your "guess" that I love ?? Sen. Bunning... You don't have to guess anything silly like that. I stated quite plainly that I agree with his votes. Label what you will, but understand that not everyone accepts or agrees with your labels. That is equivalent to name-calling, an unpleasant and rude way to just end any conversation. Merits only, please.

Bunning raises less than Democratic opponent

I can see Jim Bunning's tired, old political carcass twisting in the wind already. Smiler

Ah, well...
My personal opinion, though I am pleased with his votes, is that it's time for someone younger to be elected. Just want someone with the same views.

I think we do agree on one thing, Abuela. I think all that 'the sky is falling' melodrama made way for the biggest financial rape of taxpayers ever known to mankind. Did it help somewhat??? Perhaps. I think, however, we'd would have seen a rebound in short time without all the bailouts. The greatly heightened national deficit will likely haunt us in the upcoming years. Frowner

Yep, we're in agreement on that issue. By the way, Bunning was the only representative from Kentucky who voted against the so-called stimulus package both times, as well as the outragous more recent trillion $$$$ one.
