I don’t understand why people are so frightened. The US consumes 80% of the world’s resources and our average citizen enjoys a standard of living better than that of every 3rd world country combined (except of course for health care which we rank behind some 3rd world countries in). I never got credit cards or had to extend credit. I’ve never accumulated a debt higher than $5000.00 and I’ve never gotten into an unserviceable debt situation. It was pretty easy to do. I just didn’t buy into that dumb precept that we have to over extend credit in order to make profit or own land. American products are also over priced by a very wide margin. Which is why it is possible for products to drop they’re pricing by over 40% in just one day. On average, most brand name products are over priced by 300% above a fair net value.
Our biggest mistake was letting the Republicans mandate commercial health care and lowering restrictions on foreign outsourcing and trade.

Gee, Justin. Since you're so perfect, why don't you hold several workshops at different areas around Louisville to teach everyone to live more like you. You'd be doing a great service to humanity.
I don't know what was going on yesterday, but sure was a shopping frenzy yesterday afternoon at the mall! We were on Outer Loop heading for Best Buy and it was bumper to bumper. The store was packed as well. Same at Jeff Mall and heard the same report regarding Oxmoor.

Perhaps everyone was out getting an early start shopping for my birthday coming up April 5th. You can hardly extrapolate to the rest of the state or country.
Oh, I was not implyhing that what I observed was a reflection of the state or country as a whole, but it does make one wonder. I think the media is really reveling in the poor economy and is sorta creating a self fulfilling prophesy. And yes, no doubt, no small part was folks getting a head start on birthday shopping for Toast. I must have missed where you posted your birthday wish list....
