For the life of me Why are we bailing out the car companys and the banks? Thats Billions of tax payer dollors and they are still in trouble ! I say let them go bankrupt and the ones who are takeing our money should go to jail, no wonder we are in trouble with spending like that, makes you wonder about our goverment too .......

Personally, I am pretty riled up about bailing out individuals who bought homes they could not afford and now want ME to pay for it.

I for one am mad as all get out for the gov bailing anyone out of the trouble they got us all into. What we need is all new people in the gov.,banks,car companys and the whole nine yards.They are all a bunch of crooks who have stolen and gotten away with it.We are told from our youth up that to take something that isnt your is stealing,right ? We are told that if we steal ,we will be punished,right ? Well ,they have done what we have been warned against and they have been rewarded with a big check. If that was you or I and we went into a bank and took money that wasnt ours,we would be sitting behind bars for a while. But they are still going to their luxury spas and spending money that isnt theirs to spend.

My daughter told me she heard on a news channel that California instead of handing out the tax refund checks will instead be mailing out IOU`s !!!!

I also heard on wave 3 the other morning about how this states unemployment is about to be dry. Breshear said he saw it coming back in Dec and made plans to borrow the money for the unemployment checks. Where will that money come from ? How have they allowed things to get so bad? Like I said a ways back, it dosent matter who got the role of pres. things are going to get worse instead of better.Buckle up and hold on !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking back on it all, I think the missteps are quite obvious. As far as home prices are concerned, it's quite evident that home prices couldn't skyrocket forever. (Who would be able to afford them???) It's also quite obvious that home ownership, although a desirable goal for most people, is not a good idea for everyone.

I have a friend who got into a new subdivision because he didn't want a 'used' house. The builder of the subdivision he offered no-money-down financing. Five years later, many of the homes in that subdivision are rental houses because people sold to the 'we buy your house quick' companies to avoid foreclosure. Many other have been foreclosed upon and the low prices they sell for tend to depress selling prices for other homes in the neighborhood. My friend hates what his new neighborhood has become but can't get out easily because his home is worth less than he owes. So much for a new house.

I have a family member that did the same thing. He had a small house that he could afford but got greedy and wanted more. Now he has to work 3 jobs to make the payment and still owes more than it is worth. If he had just stayed where he was at, he would actually have some equity now instead of a big debt hanging around his neck. Oh, and of course, like too many others.... the house is of VERY poor construction. Probably won't even be standing by the time it is paid for...

I don't understand why everyone things they have to have a 2000+ sq foot house for a family of 4.
