WHY REASSIGN A TEACHER FOR USING THE N-WORD? IT IS ONLY PERPETUATING THE PROBLEM. IT WOULD SEEM LIKE AFTER 21 YEARS THIS TEACHER SHOULD BE AWARE OF CULTURE DIVERSITY. IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE IF DAWSON ADDED THE "A" TO THE WORD. IT MAKES ME QUESTION WHETHER THE JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION CONDONES THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH AND IT SEEMS AS IF THOUGH "JIM CROW" IS SHOWING HIS FACE AGAIN. RACISIM MUST END.

I don't think he should be canned over it just learned a lesson,which I think he will from now on ASK that it(slang/street talk) not be used during his teaching time. There is another thread about this incase you want to see others input.

I agree with the sentiment of the readers.Don´t can the teacher,please,lesson learned in ways we probably cannot imagine.Let them get on with life,teaching and learning.

Oh please !! Just because he is hired on as a teacher, you think the school gives the ok to say stuff like that? Wasnt he fired or moved to another position? If the man had been black and called a white kid cracker, nothing would have been done, all in the name of NOT provoking racisim. I am tired of all this race garbage.Everytime something happens it is racisim. Someone gets shot because they are too doped to listen to a policeman telling them to stop ,and it is racisim.Try pulling another card from the deck,this is stupid.
