I had not been to Bernheim for several years and WOW have things changed. They have a wonderful new visitor/education center. Lots of weekend activities, picnic areas.... wonderful place to spend admiring nature or enjoying time with family. Highly recommended!

Is there a small charge to enter Bernheim Forest, ZOO???

Entry to Bernheim is free on weekdays and $5 a carload on weekends. Check out their website for special events.
They have a flower sale coming up in May.

Thanks for the info, ZOO. I have since found Bernheim's website. Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest I think I'll try to take my dog out there with me on Friday. I had taken a two week vacation when I suddenly had a problem with an infected index finger. That gave me another week off on sick leave. My finger is almost healed and a fun romp through Berheim might be just what I need.

If you go FT,take a pick-nick lunch with you ,you may be there a while,it is that good. There is so much to do and see,trails to hike and fish to be caught,that it will take you a couple of hours. It is worth the drive for you ,I think. Have fun !!
