Does anyone want the families of these perverts hurt? Of course not. But reality is reality. If these men's families don't already know what this person is doing, then they sure do now and they can get themselves and/or their kids away from the 'perverts'. If they choose to stay with them, then shame on them.
I don't feel the public or the media should feel the need to protect these people. WE aren't the ones doing anything wrong and WE deserve to know what is going on in a public place so that we can be aware of what our kids are subject to see and take our own action to protect them.
Had there not been a news account of this, I might not have know this was even going on...until I or my kids got their own eyeful. And I can guarantee you that had this happened to a family and that family found out that the media knew but didn't report it...just who do you think would be in the media then? The media would be....that's who.
So again, who should we protect...the majority of us or JUST the families of the perverts?
Right On!

I know that this is a persistent problem and that it needs to be stopped but I have a serious issue with the station showing these men getting caught on film. I do not feel sorry for the men but I do feel bad for their families who have to live with the consequences of these men being on television for everyone to see. There was one man who passed out and it was stated he was married with 2 kids. Now those children will have to deal with the fact that their father was on TV being seen arrested for a sex act. The children and families of these men are innocent victims. This kind of reporting just doesn't hurt the men. WAVE 3 has added to the pain that these families are going to have to deal with just for a story that really is very old news. I hope it was worth it.
I don't know if I am way off base here and if I am then I am sorry, but I get the feeling you've been in this situation before. I don't mean to seem so heartless and not care about the innocent family members who are addressed perhaps by their neighbors,co-workers,....once it comes out by word of mouth, local news,...however. I just feel if anyone should think about them it should be the men or women who created the concern to begin with.

I thought the same thing when I first read SMC2866's post...
If that's the case, we can be as sorry as all get out for you and/or other family members of these perverts. However, the fact remains we deserve to be safe and free from perversion in our own parks, and if it takes the media bringing it to our attention, then I say KUDOS to them.
