GOOD! They don't want their dirty laundry AIRED then get a hotel or motel room! If my hubby ever caught that nonsense going on while our children are around,I would probably have to sit on his feet while wrapping myself around his ankles and legs keeping him from whacking the heck out of them. I don't care if it's male and female either. There's a place for that and out in the public eye is NOT it! Mad

I know that this is a persistent problem and that it needs to be stopped but I have a serious issue with the station showing these men getting caught on film.

Tough! Say it or do it in public then it becomes a public matter. Get over it!

I do not feel sorry for the men but I do feel bad for their families who have to live with the consequences of these men being on television for everyone to see.

Well did they think about their families at the time HUH!?!? NOPE! So stick their faces,names,....all over the place.

There was one man who passed out and it was stated he was married with 2 kids. Now those children will have to deal with the fact that their father was on TV being seen arrested for a sex act.

Again, did he think of his family? He should KNOW BETTER and HE SHOULD THINK of his Family. Put the blame where it really goes!

The children and families of these men are innocent victims.

Well as that may be true,it's a part I'm willing to get over for the safety of my children! They may mean more to you than you and yours, but that's a very small percent compared to the rest of us who want to know about the creeps.

This kind of reporting just doesn't hurt the men.

The men? Oh I see now,you mean the men who should know better and should care for their families, but don't and get caught being disgusting pigs? Put the blame where it goes. On those "Men."

WAVE 3 has added to the pain that these families are going to have to deal with just for a story that really is very old news.

KUDOS to Wave 3! Those "men" as you call them hurt their OWN family. Wave 3 is saving the rest of us families that appreciate knowing what we might be up against at a park for children to play not for S3x Ed 101.

I hope it was worth it.

It sure is and I'd be angry if someone knew and didn't tell us.

But we media folks no longer hold a monopoly on that kind of exposure. Nowadays anyone with a camera and a YouTube account can expose these predators just as easily.

These subjects approach men in parked cars without knowing who they are, putting their own lives into danger.

What if instead of police and film crew they encountered a group of thugs who hate gay men, or a group of angry parents upset because their child got an up-close view of what they were doing?

Or maybe they just accidentally bump into a friend of a friend of their family and get caught that way.

In any case, you can't shoot the messenger for making you aware of the situation.

Today these pervs are fondling themselves and looking for willing partners; perhaps tomorrow they'll be more aggressive about finding another participant - willing or not.

So that's why we try to give the public a chance to see what these people look like. Forewarned is forearmed.

KUDOS!

It seems to me that your concern correlates very closely with the same over Dateline NBC's To Catch a Predator.

As far as I'm concerned, public humiliation is only one problem that these men themselves inflict upon their wives (and children) when they engage in these disgusting acts. STD's are, perhaps, a larger problem when you consider that AIDS will kill you and herpes has no cure as of yet. If my spouse brought home an STD to me, I would be very, very angry with her.

I feel for the families but I think that anyone with an ounce of brains and just a bit of human compassion will realize that these families did nothing to bring this upon themselves. Ignorant people will always finds things to gossip about and children are forever finding points to tease others about. I don’t consider that sufficient reason to obscure these men’s identities. Confused

Good points!

Let's put it this way...are you more worried about those "men" and their families or your own family or the families that go to those parks for the reason the parks are there in the first place...to have fun, relax and play? Those families shouldn't have to be subjected to the perversion these adults bring to a park setting.

Does anyone want the families of these perverts hurt? Of course not. But reality is reality. If these men's families don't already know what this person is doing, then they sure do now and they can get themselves and/or their kids away from the 'perverts'. If they choose to stay with them, then shame on them.

I don't feel the public or the media should feel the need to protect these people. WE aren't the ones doing anything wrong and WE deserve to know what is going on in a public place so that we can be aware of what our kids are subject to see and take our own action to protect them.

Had there not been a news account of this, I might not have know this was even going on...until I or my kids got their own eyeful. And I can guarantee you that had this happened to a family and that family found out that the media knew but didn't report it...just who do you think would be in the media then? The media would be....that's who.

So again, who should we protect...the majority of us or JUST the families of the perverts?
