I noticed that my neighbor had a medium tree in the front yard all cut up while I was away at work today. I thought it was strange that it was cut because I didn't remember it being damaged or dieased. Very quickly, I relized that I was right when my neighbor stuck her head out the front door and asked what I thought of the tree. She explained that someone cut the tree between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm today. Before you suggest that LG&E may have done this I tell you that the tree, a dogwood, is over fifty years old and no where near any power lines. Another neighbor reports that the truck the did this had no signage and looked 'junky'. The people who did this did NOT finish cutting the tree at all - it was only about a third removed.

Even if the person or company that did this butchering of the tree has any money, what would one sue for??? A fifty year-old tree is irreplaceable!
