I doubt there is less crime in "Miami and Seattle put together." Drugs in Miami top us in a flat second. Shytown has their great deals of "street wrath." Crime is everywhere and Louisville isn't highest on the list I'm sure. Cali is pretty big on crime.

You don’t know me from what you may see on the internet and that is a very lucid example at best. When people are not impersonating me, they think it is better to just stalk or flame me because I actually have a real name and credibility to what I say and do. What I do often involves a lot of cleanup work. As with Mr. Birchak here who I reported for defrauding one of your local television networks and another in Lexington. If I didn’t care to help or do anything for Louisville, I would have just let him.
Now all this guy can do is stalk me around the internet with fake names and aliases because in the real world there are restraining orders.
The fact is, I’ve thrown thousands of dollars worth of time, labor, equipment and hard cash at Louisville over the last two years and even though it ends up getting torched by incompetence and corruption, I throw on a smile, cut my losses and find someone who is really ready to step up and make some real change. It is like working in a kitchen where the head chef allows one of the line cooks to drop chicken on the floor but still serve it. There are scores of people ripping off this city every day. I’ve counted thousands of dollars in wasted or mishandled money from the public coffers of Louisville. But I tow the line because somewhere there is always something good. Unfortunately so far, I’ve only seen progress in the projects I assist elsewhere in Kentucky. At the end of the day, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. How is Louisville ever going to find its way if everyone uses fluffed up bunkum to pretend everything is ok while it all goes to pot?
Have you even BEEN to Chicago, Miami or Seattle? This isn’t the 80’s anymore.

While Bill Lamb at Fox is just gushing over this award without actually checking its credibility, most media outlets and the general public of Louisville seem to know better.
Which points out that even though Louisville is not safer, cleaner, healthier or more economically sound than the other cities nominated for this award, at least the people are starting to see there is a real problem and refuse to take credit where it obviously is not due?
I have yet to see actual numbers presented by this committee during this national mayor’s conference that even begin to prove how Louisville Kentucky can be called the most “livable” city in the US.
The city is more polluted than any of the other cities nominated for this award.
Louisville DEFINITELY has a higher crime rate and poorer health index than Miami and Seattle put together.
I’ve been to Seattle and I did not find one area of that city where it smelled like open sewage 24/7.
It isn’t even plausible that the education system and average IQ in Louisville is even comparable for the fact that it ranks below the national average almost as a constant.
I think the problem is with the name of this award.
Most “livable” is a very lucid term. It sounds like “bestest” or “most improved” so it doesn’t exactly need to encompass anything like an actual record or statistic that would designate that the city actually has a higher standard of living than any of the other cities nominated.
Was the deciding factor one of the tax cuts for rich people in the east end, the most despotic HMO in the world being seated in Louisville or a $90,000 annual salary increase for ONE employee at a learning institution that is hiking tuition, cutting jobs and cutting benefits?

Justin: You seem to have some broad and persistent issues of anger. You talk about Louisville smelling like an open sewer 24/7. You talk about the average local IQ ranking below the national average. You gripe that Louisville has a high crime rate and that its health care index is poor.

Why are you always so angry? Were you disinherited from a large family fortune??? Did you lose your parents at a very young age??? Is one of your parents wrongly imprisoned??? I've seen you log on to the forums and repeatedly insult and belittle other forum members. I've heard you talk about what a stupid little backwater town Louisville is.

I think you have to stop at some point and ask yourself if Louisville is such a bad place to be or if you might have personal issues you need to seek help with. If Louisville isn't your cup of tea, moving away might go a long way towards improving your general outlook on life. If, on the other hand, the problems you're encountering are of a personal nature, seeking professional counseling would also go a long way towards improving the overall quality of your life.

Whatever the source of your unhappiness is, sharing it with the rest of us isn't helping things. You're about as popular as the Bubonic Plague around here. I seldom see anyone agree with you. Please think very seriously about what the cause of your unhappiness is. Everyone will be much better off once you find out what's going on.

Well in my experiance, these are all bad things so I tend to speak of them as the bad things they are. I know that in the Bizaro world you come from, a car crash is a blessing and a punch to the face may be a fond hello but I live in the real world.

The details of my life are the details of my life. I am a person with a real name, you are not. If an internet shadow wants to try and make a challenge out of libel and BS claims about the person they feel is victimizing them with their opinion then the shadow can do this all it wants. It has no effect on reality.

You have only been exposed to all the threads that French and canon flame and clog just because i post in them. Those two are hardly everyone here.
Reference the opinion of all those who have used one of my own web groups:

A 99.9% Satisfaction rate seems pretty good to me.
Of course I don’t live in Bizaro world like you so for you this may be a bad thing.
