If he did encourage students in any way to walk out, he may face further disciplinary action up to and including termination. Teachers are expected to uphold school system rules and policies. Encouraging a student walkout would be a pretty serious offense.
I also have to question whether a teacher should be using a derivative of a racial slur even if the hip-hop world has turned it into a term of endearment. While teachers don't need to get snooty, they should serve as role models for their students. Would we tolerate any male teacher wearing loose, baggy pants with their boxers showing just so they could connect with their students??? I don't think so.

African American kids throw that word around like no other and yet if a whitekid happens to say it, its offensive.

I understand it was degrading a few decades ago, but these days it shouldn't be degrading at all, as much as African American call each other that.

Once again, I'm not racist, but I do wonder why they are making such a big deal out of this guy who was just trying to get the kid to stop being so disrespectful.
