Are the apartment kept up reasonably well??? Are they up to code(s)??? You can't legislate these people completely out of town. They have paid their debt to society and they are entitled to a place to live. All the same, they do creep me out.

It is a crap hole. When we first learned of them "G" had it checked out. He and someone else had to start from the Daycare door and count one foot in front of the other all the way to the apartments. They were barely within the feet away. We can not use our parks as a go between because they are considered PRivate and not public because there are signs that state they are strictly for the Residents here. It has been said since so many are "housed" there that it must be some kind of half way housing for them. The one thing that bothers me is how they get away with living with and around each other. I was told by an officer that convicted felons can not live with one another and several of them live with each other. He also said they have to live so many feet apart and they pretty much all live under the same roof(the building). One of the residents here sat out one day and counted how many children lived over there. She counted 48. Most are from 3 years old to 5 years of age.

I think these people do have a choice but for whatever reason are so arrogant and perverted that they choose to indulge themselves without regard to how many lives they destroy in the process.

I never implied that this being a 'sickness' meant that they didn't have a choice. Just as alcholism is a sickness, they have a choice not to drink. However, it is the "sickness" in them that allows the perversion to prevail and to heck with the lives they destroy. I truly think that if they could change their behavior, they would.

Has anyone watched all the NBC To Catch a Predator episodes??? They even had a cancer research doctor nabbed. The guy is / was married with two girls at home. What was he thinking??? This guy was pulling down a huge salary and has since been discharged. Now he's spending all his time trying to stay out of prision.
