I'm fed up with all the transexual, transgenders, gays, and what have you telling us how unfair life is. Duhhh! You think so? So often I have heard black people dismiss Oprah Winfrey's accomplishments saying that 'she stopped being black years ago'. It doesn't have any thing to do with whether she turned her back on her race or not. It's that she doesn't shove it in your face. Likewise, Ellen Degeneres took a big step backwards when she try to lauch a prime-time television show centered largely around her 'gayness'. Now that she's toned it down quite a bit, her daytime talk show seems to be quite popular. We're still all very much aware that she's gay. It just that she's not being 'in your face' with it.

I believe that people who feel compelled to wear their sexuality, race, etc on their shoulders are trying to compensate for their own personal shortcomings. Most people don't care about the various subgroups that everyone belongs to. Be yourself and don't force your lifestyles on others! Live and let live. Mad

Well, I agree to a point French Toast...I understand your point, and it does get annoying when people put things 'in your face'...but I also believe that you should be proud of who you are..If you are gay, be proud! There isn't anything to be ashamed of. But people are 'in your face' about stuff everyday... The racism stuff, the gay stuff, the Bible stuff, etc etc. But I do agree for the most part.I mean you don't see straight people going around with T-shirts and stuff saying "I'm Straight" and stuff, right? Smiler

"Straight" people are just as mixed up as anyone else.
