would legislators risk losing such a vital project. If we lose federal backing of this project, we lose the project itself. Think of how bad hospital curve is during rush hour now. How much worse will it get in ten years?

Bridges project funds in jeopardy

seems to me that this should be a much higher priority than a basketball arena....

I know what we could do. We could cancel the new bridges and the spaghetti junction realignment, dismantle the existing Kennedy Bridge which we can't see to keep painted and cancel the new arena. A lot of people would be upset but we would simply tell those folks that if they don't like - MOVE!!! In short time, we will have the peaceful, quiet retirement community that so many seem to fancy around these parts!

it is a matter of priorities. You pay for the "needs" first and if anything is left over, you get the "wants".
