It's so sad to have our state saddled down with this 'lame duck' governor. With Fletcher's political power in tatters, Louisville's chances at a new arena are slim to none. I just get upset thinking about our state largely spinning its wheels for the next two years while the voters wait to show this turkey the door. Fletcher has shown his real priorities in his vigorous fight to shut down the Grand Jury investigation of his administration's hiring practices.

I'm not too sure what Gov. [Mother] Fletcher is thinks he is doing right, but SOMEONE needs to set him straight. All he has done for Kentucky is spend our money on stuff we don't need. Having two parents who government employees, I know first hand that this man is a joke.In his speech, he said he would give teachers a raise, but the children would have to go to school longer. Um, no? Students go long enough, teachers should get a raise anyway! They are teaching the future of America. That's just as important to me, than any lawyer is! I agree with American_Woman...he is definitely full of himself. He keeps saying that we are on this tight budget and we don't have enough money to PAY for raises for the government employees, yet he has enough money to buy $12,000-$15,000 worth of furniture for his new office? That's bull.
In his speech, he said that government officials would be getting a raise, but the higher up you are in the government, the less amount of money you got! My dad, who works for the Transportation Department of Highways,is one of the big time guys up there, and he is only getting a $200 raise? How fair is that?! Why are the employees that can be replaced very easily, getting a larger raise than the people who have been in the business for a longer time, and deserve bigger raises? This is exactly why we need to give the teachers a raise too..to educate the future so they don't turn out like this dumbbell..
