" Witnesses say an aggressive motorcycle driver blocked an SUV from going around.
That was the threat right there. We all know what an aggressive person looks like and what they could do. His bike would have been a new hood ornament for my SUV. I would have mashed on the gas and took his bike with me.

I always have my window down. I don't like to use the air condition, but as I stated earlier,I only allow it down so far. That comes from being at a stop light and seeing a female approach another female and pop her thru the opened window. I don't know what that was about, but I didn't stick around to see what was next. I drove around them and left. I would have rolled my window up as soon as I seen he was leaving his bike. My doors are already locked.
Do any of you really think that she would have retaliated or acted aggressive in this manner if she hadn't had a gun?
No. I would think she would have ran over his bike getting away, but that's what I would have done.
We ALL are subjected to rude, obnoxious, downright assinine drivers but not one of us would give them any flak back...we simply let them go on or we do our best to get away from them....unless, of course, we knew we had back-up if we pushed them too far and provoked a full confrontation.
My first impulse would have been mashing on the gas to get away. I wouldn't have thought about using a gun. Motors running,he's stepping towards me,time to mash it and roll out, even if I take his bike with me.

I feel like she deserves some kind of punishment. I wouldn't want to be a juror for sure. I honestly feel like she should have and could have handled it differently. I believe she was scared but not enough to fire on him. Her first impulse should not have been grabbing a gun. It should have been getting away. She opened up her own door so to me you ain't too scared if you're going to do that. If I am truly afraid I am not going to open my door or get out UNTIL the police get there.

My point exactly...you would have rolled your window up as soon as you saw him coming towards you AND you would have stayed in your car...not left the window down and then opened your own car door. The only reason she did all that was cause she knew she had back-up.
Let's say for the sake of argument that traffic was all around her and she couldn't get out of it to get away from him coming towards her. If he was clearly unarmed, then roll your windows up, locks your doors and shoot only when that's the last resort. That should be a given for ANY person who has a permit to carry a gun. Simply having a permit to carry shouldn't make it open season on someone.
