" Witnesses say an aggressive motorcycle driver blocked an SUV from going around. When the two stopped, the motorcycle driver jumped off his bike. The driver of the SUV, Yolanda Parrish, hit the man with the vehicle door, picked up a gun and then shot him in the chest. Witnesses say Parrish and her 15-year-old son then stood over the man cursing before making this call to 911." Hi Phoenix08 .Glad you are back. I copied your statement because there is no indication in what you posted about the man being a threat to her. In the statement you posted it plainly says SHE hit the man with the open door. I do understand if she did feel threatned, I would if I saw a strange man coming up to my car, dont blame her for that. But I am not clear on why she shot him. From what I am hearing, no one is really clear on how she came to shoot an unarmed man for getting off his bike. Dont know why he got off, maybe he did intend harm to her, but then again, maybe he wanted to get in her face and tell her point blank to back of his bike. Whatever the reason,he was unarmed and no apparent threat to her in her car,she had no good reason that we know of right now to have shot him . So ,go ahead and tear me to shreads for my opinion, dont mind one bit, I dont have to read it anyways Lighten up folks, this is an opinion board and we give our opinions here,no more no less.

No, I'm not asking this woman to wreck her SUV or kill or maim anyone. What I'm suggesting is that it would have been smart to avoid a face-off rather that to pump a bullet into the biker knucklehead. With a bike in front of her, I would expect her to be able to get out of there without much of a problem. Maybe she would have had to gently backed into the person behind her. Maybe she would have had to drive over a curb. No where am I suggesting that she gun the engine and crash full-force into somebody. This was a case of a woman shooting someone because the other guy ticked her off. Yes, the guy was stupid for approaching her SUV but did he deserve a life-threatening bullet for his stupidity? No. I look for Ms. Parrish to be charged in this incident. Whether she's convicted or not is anybody's guess.

My questions are:
Why did she have her window down in the first place? Once he made the step to intrude on her personal space, then I can see her shooting him. Until then, NO.
Do any of you really think that she would have retaliated or acted aggressive in this manner if she hadn't had a gun? We ALL are subjected to rude, obnoxious, downright assinine drivers but not one of us would give them any flak back...we simply let them go on or we do our best to get away from them....unless, of course, we knew we had back-up if we pushed them too far and provoked a full confrontation.
