It appears that both have issues with anger management but one went out of control and attempted to take another's life. She should have her licence to carry revoked immediately as it does not appear that she knows when to show, when to shoot or when to run. She is definitely not responsible enough to be allowed to continue to carry a gun.
Even in your own home, you are not allowed to legally shoot an intruder if you have a way out. I don't know how anyone could argue that she did not have a way out.
