I'm not defending either person. I don't agree with him blocking her SUV. I don't agree with him getting off of it to approach her. I don't agree with her firing at him after SHE opens her own door up on him. I think she is stupid for allowing her son to get out of the SUV before the police could get there. So I'm not defending either one. They both acted poorly in my HONEST opinion.
Just for a moment let's say this woman did everything right, rolled up her windows, locked her doors and left the gun under her seat.
Then NOW she HAS 2 choices. 1) Run his bike over and get away or 2) Fire at him IF he busts her window out. She'd have EVERY right in the world to me to shoot him then. No questions asked, just do it. She made good attempts to keep herself safe from him and he wouldn't back off so shoot him.
However it didn't turn out the way you would have it, Mosier snatched her out of her SUV and began to beat her to the edge of her life while her son watched.
It wouldn't have gotten that far. Had she rolled up her windows, locked the door and he was still trying to get at her and she could NOT plowed into his bike and get away then shoot him. He wouldn't have been able to get her out because she would have shot him.
Do you really think anyone would have come to her rescue??
They wouldn't have had to. Her gun would have stopped him.
I don't think so? Did anyone attempt to rescue Mosier when he was being kicked?? Again, I don't think so.
Ummm NO! She just shot him, would you approach them??? I sure wouldn't! I wouldn't know where her gun is,if I was next,... so NOPE I sure wouldn't have. I would have called 911 from my cell though.
Why am I so concern about this case? I have two daughters and a wife that are on the roads driving now. So as you can see it's more of what if that were one of my family members?
I have 3 children that are with me all of the time and a husband who is on the road about 18 hours a day. He has never ran into someone who was chasing him down, blocking him, showing a gun,.... not to say it won't ever happen, but he doesn't have one ounce of Road rage in him. People do stupid stuff all the time. We almost got hit by a van going on vacation because the guy was on his cellphone not paying attention and kept coming over on us. I was the one mad. I kept saying what the heck is his deal,he better get back over there. My husband just looked at the guy and then got by him. A few minutes later he was beside us again doing the same crap. Yapping and getting over on us. My husband could have gotten really mad and did something crazy but he didn't. He just said another stupid driver not caring about anyone and he got by him again and made sure to stay ahead of him. Our children were almost crying because the jerk almost hit us twice. They wanted to go home instead of on vacation just to get out of the car and away from traffic.
From the bottom of my heart, I hope none of you are ever put in the situation this woman was under.
Me too! I would have had one messed up SUV and he would have one messed up bike. I honestly don't have any troubles grasping her shooting him had she rolled up the windows and locked the door and he still wouldn't go away. I really wouldn't. I just feel there was another out for her and she didn't take it. She took what was easier, but not best. JMO.
She had to make a snap decision on what she thought this man was going to do. Sitting back and saying what you would have done means nothing unless you've been threw it.
Actually it means alot. Tells alot about the person to me. My first instinct with a running car would be to plow into his bike if need be and get away. It syrely wouldn't be shoot first. I know me and I know I wouldn't just think to shoot. With my car running I'd just mash on it and go. I have a gun,but I keep it at home for safety, not for on the road.
By the way, many have asked me why Ms. Parrish shot Mr. Mosier over road rage, who just happens to be a White Man. However when she had Road Rage with another motorist she just showed her weapon and the guy just left and he was a Black Man. That in it's self is a (excuse the expression) silly question, you're asking me to analyze that lady's frame of mind.
I don't see where anyone has asked you that.
For you to better understand, that's like me asking you since you are white why did 25 year old Wesley N. Higdon decide to kill five people and himself yesterday in Henderson, KY. Do you get my point???
Because he's insane.

I beg your pardon, yes you did!! quote: So why didn't she shoot the brotha that approached her back in March since she's allowed to carry and shoot whomever approaches her? She just showed it to him and told him to back off and he did. Same would have worked for Mosier. He would have backed off too.
Don't start nothing it won't be nothing.
