I need to point out a rather important correction to tonight’s report on cell phones and cancer.
For one thing, this is not some new study into the correlation between wireless EMR, RF and cancer.
Conclusive studies about the impact of RF and EMR wavelengths and their effects on the human body and brain were done in the early 90’s and they concluded the same results as those done for any person living near high tension power conduit lines.
Excessive RF and EM exposure can increase the probability of cancer because they ARE forms of radiation but the results even now are not entirely conclusive.
What they had suggested as an effective substitute by using a Bluetooth extension for your cell phone IS NOT an effective alternative to holding a cell phone to your head.
Substituting one wireless device for another does not eliminate the distribution or volume of EMR and RF that will be running through your brain/body as a result of the transmission source.
The volume of RF and EMR waves is increasing all the time. The physical impact is always increasing weather we hold these devices directly to our heads or not.
But holding any transmitting device to your head does heighten the amount of them flooding through your body.
If you want to effectively lower the volume of these waves traveling through your brain at such close proximity, use a hands free device that IS NOT wireless and has some form of buffering along the line.
This does not eliminate the activity of RF and EMR on your brain but it will limit it.
However, since the phone is still attached to your body, these waves are still acting on your body.
To curb this problem entirely, you would have to wear RF/EMR protective clothing:

Someone just trying to scare someone enough to make a buck off their fear. I don't buy it.

JCPS made a "special" school. It's called Virtual school.
So they are taking students and sitting them in front of computers all day.
Did anyone bother to do a study on how it will trash those students eyes? How their posture will be warped?

I don't think it was very well thought out. But you're worried about a cellphone you don't have to have and it causing cancer?

Wait,… JCPS, one of the most technologically backward school systems in the US, has a “virtual school”?!
I did my last comp-tia refresher through JCPS and their best computer department had P3s laid out for standard use and old ATX form factor based towers out for testing.
Their text books had Molex connectors and 1394s listed as FW800s and there were six illustrations of ram cards listed as PCI cards or processor heat sinks.
Needles to say, it is VERY easy to get computer engineering credentials in the state of Kentucky.
So much so that I’ve had several friends who could not pass in Wisconsin or Ohio coming here to qualify.
There isn’t even a strong IT workforce or available technical jobs in this state. You would think they might want to improve the knowledge base at least. By the time Kentucky is ready to go fully digital in the larger urban areas, they will still need to import an entire infrastructure of specialists from other states to show them how to use and service it properly. If there is any money left by then.
What a joke.
Yes, it is very dangerous to put anyone in front of a screen all day. Especially if it is a CRT. But the impact is still negligible in the long run. There have been screen deprivation studies since the conception of the CRT as a commercial product back in 1922.
It isn’t as bad as depriving these children of COMPETANT computer learning.

This is novel.
They tell everyone in the community to use Bluetooth as a safer alternative to holding the phone next to your head and NOW they are doing a story tonight about the security risks of using a Bluetooth because the signal can be picked up on conventional radio equipment.
I hope they might at least MENTION that non-wireless hands free devices are the best (AND CHEAPEST) alternative.
Wave3 needs to fire their technical adviser.
