What a hypocritical country we live in. Pull up to a intersection and listen to the blasting "music" of black and white youths and listen to how women are described and demeaned. Watch television and see two opportunistic black leaders call for the firing of a shock jock for racism. Watch a national broadcasting company who owns a record label that releases questionable content (and makes money on it)fire a shock jock for a comedic comment. See Presidential contenders rush to the emotional rescue of a women's basketball team who's SCRIPTED heart-tugging 15 mins of fame helped the media make a mountain of a molehill. Wonder how many of these tatoo'ed, 3.5 GPA holding respectable "ladies" even knew who Imus was before this? Also wonder how many of these 3.5 GPA holding, tatoo'ed "ladies" have had incidents with the law. (Oh no don't stereotype, just the kind you'd take home to Mom!) See companies whose business is vaguely supported by the supposed offended pull their advertising! What a joke, the real idiots are the ones who let this crap go on. If anyone who feels the same should stop watching NBC based programs, CBS media outlets and stop buying GMC autos, Head-on pain killers, Staples Office supplies and anyone else who has used their dollars to Kow Tow to the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson while their race is self destructing daily with racism and hate of women. What opportunist and hypocrites, see if above mentioned ever get another penny of my money.

the paragraph below is plagerized... but I find it interesting that this issue of the Tawana Brawley case has remained below the radar screen for so long yet is so horrible. "And while we are setting the new standards for apologia, let’s find someone else to apologize to. Al Sharpton is unacceptable. Apologizing to Al Sharpton is more ironic than anything else, when you consider his shining record of slander and racism. Between the results of the Tawana Brawley incident and his on-record slurs against Jews, he hardly seems to be the go-to guy for the maligned. Even more ironic is the statement that Al Sharpton made in response to Don Imus’ apology. Sharpton stated that "I accept his apology, just as I want his bosses to accept his resignation." That was big of Tawana Brawleyhim. I wonder if anyone asked for Sharpton’s resignation when he called Jews “diamond merchants” from the pulpit? Or when he was sued – successfully - for the slanderous remarks he made in the fallout of the case? "
Regardless, I do agree that an apology was owed but not sure why Sharpton was included.

Ok..Zoo,Alreltney what was the appropriate action Imus Should have taken. Please, I want you guys to tell me what you think. Come on tell me what was fair.
I'm starting to see a pattern here, I Did not want to mention it because it's so ugly I don't want to believe it. It can't be that white people in general just can't accept a judgment in the favor against them or theirs. The only person in the forum that defended Don Imus that made good sense was Tritonmike. The rest of you must have been die hard Don Imus fans. The man was a bigot get over it move on Zoo, Angel, alreltney he will be on satellite radio. Spreading hate and negative stereotypical words you guys must loved. As for me I'm just going to set over here and
I'm told that Don Imus will probably not be offered a gig on satellite radio. Supposedly, Sirius and XM don't want to rock the boat with the federal government deciding whether they can merge or not.
My real name is Frenchi Babè.
