One hand people are whining how parents do not step up and on the other hand when parents do step up and do not want the "help" of others concerning parenting then that's a big deal too. Roll Eyes

Yea, my parents DO care...which is why they WANT others to help when they aren't around. You aren't going to be around all the time and You put your your children in the responsibility of someone else(e.g. at school. If you don't want others looking out for your children, and keeping them as safe as possible them maybe you should homeschool. Roll Eyes Seriously, they aren't trying to "parent" your children, they are just trying to keep them safe...You want your kids safe right? Sometimes the schools need to take precautions. *shrugs*

Coming from a kid that thinks it's ok to show underage drinking on myspace,Yeah I'll think about your "debate" here. Roll Eyes My children have the right(WE DO PAY TAXES!)to go to school and not have to be subject to urine testing. Again the school has a phone, they can call me and inform me of what they suspect and I'll handle it. I don't need them to do it. I'm not unfit. Unfit parents are the ones that NEED the school to "parent" their children. I do not need them to do it.

Well first of all, if you go back to the debate about the Myspace thing..I did NOT agree with the showing of underage drinking. Mad Mad And they've TRIED the whole "calling of parents" crap...OBVIOUSLY it doesn't work. So whatever...you don't like it..that's great. That doesn't mean they aren't going to do it. So..tough I guess *shrugs* I don't know what to tell ya.

What is the probable cause to Drug Test Our Kids.? It Shouldn't be allowed. I know they do these types of test on kids that are in Sports, that I can understand, But The Whole School? No! It is a violation of the 4th Amendment and for those who care so is the Wiretapping....
The 4th Amendment says this..

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Before you know it they'll be coming to our Homes wanting Random Drug Test from American Citizens.. What do you think of that? Well believe it or not it is coming to that. Our City Streets are being monitored and NOT solely for watching Criminals. But if you want to believe what they are telling you go for it.

Either way Drug testing, Survalence of Citizens, Wiretapping, It Violates the 4th amendment...

I think what the principal did was perfectly ok. Kids should be checked regularly for these kind of things, that way we don't have as many problems! In fact, Jefferson County Schools are going to start doing random drug tests on kids. Is THAT violating the Fourth Amendment? What are YOUR thoughts?

For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under Tyrant Rule. It is not for glory, nor riches, nor honors that we are fighting, but for freedom — for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
