I think that responsible means doing everything in your power to keep your child safe. Which means allowing others to look after them when you're not around.

Drug testing my child without permission is not looking after my child when I am not around. If that's the case then your neighbors can drug test you kiddo. The schools job is to educate my children not parent them. Parenting them is my job.

*Shrugs* Think what you will...Some people are too closed-minded to understand the importance of keeping kids safe no matter what the circumstances. If they wanted to drug test me, I think they should be allowed...even if that means I get in trouble. Lessons learned.

Does your parents care? If so then why would the school need to parent you? I care about mine and I keep up with them. It's MY DUTY to them. They didn't ask to be brought into this world. I brought them here and it's MY responsibility to care for them. One hand people are whining how parents do not step up and on the other hand when parents do step up and do not want the "help" of others concerning parenting then that's a big deal too. Roll Eyes

Yea, my parents DO care...which is why they WANT others to help when they aren't around. You aren't going to be around all the time and You put your your children in the responsibility of someone else(e.g. at school. If you don't want others looking out for your children, and keeping them as safe as possible them maybe you should homeschool. Roll Eyes Seriously, they aren't trying to "parent" your children, they are just trying to keep them safe...You want your kids safe right? Sometimes the schools need to take precautions. *shrugs*
