My PC crashed and I had to reload Windows. A couple odf days later I downloaded SP2. My connections were gone then also. I called my PC guro and he made me a floppy with a small program on it called WinSocFix. I ran that and in 2 minutes my connections were fixed and I was up and running. He said I should have added SP2 immediately after loading WinXP, but did not kow that.

Go to Google and see if you can find WinSocFix.

I have automatic updates set up on my computer. With all the bad 'bogeymen' out there, I don't see any reason to surf naked. SP2 monitors my anti-virus definitions, firewall setup, and automatic updates to alert me when there's a problem. That's the way I like it. Smiler

I know it's been a while but,I am still in Norway and working away.Just wanted to tell you SP3 is out and ready.Takes a while so be patient,OK?Best wishes,Henryk
