So you are calling folks like me stupid? I don't give a rat's ass for gun ownership. (The days of killing Indians and taking their land are long gone). And give me an example of ONE law in the works, that would endanger your oh so important gun ownership! And I don't give a rat's ass for the bible either. Just another book. Finally this country has a President who is intelligent, (after 8 years of moronism), and people like you don't appreciate it. Oh well, what else is new?
Come on, petra. Guns are the social lubricant that allows any orderly society to function. The U.S.A. has more guns per capita than any other county and look how safe we are because of it. Bank robberies are relatively rare. No one will rob a bank because they know that law abiding citizens visiting the bank may be carrying lawful firearms. Home invasions are unheard of. Who wants to take on chance on meeting up with an armed occupant??? Law enforcement officers are safe because the bad guys know they're armed and that they may get help from armed citizens carrying lawful firearms. Domestic violence orders are always obeyed in our country because perpetrators are not allowed to buy arms while a protective order is in force against them and disgruntled husbands and boyfriends know that their ex-sweethearts may be armed.
I could go on but I think you get the picture. American citizens can sleep soundly at night knowing that their firearms protect them even as they sleep. Guns make America great!
Check out the stats on countries with strong gunlaws. The level of violence is much lower. And the prison population is much lower also. If it takes guns to make a country great,we all are in trouble.
