Hi everyone, my first post so take it easy on me please (lol). I have a question that I'm hoping someone can help me with. Whenever I go to a site, for example Yahoo, I can't get the Yahoo symbol at the top of the page to show up. All I get is a red X. I think it has something to do with active X controls, but I don't know much about that. Also I get alot of "Action canceled" on pages/ sites that I visit. Not a big problem just a minor nuisance. thanks for any help.
Tools-Internet Options-Advanced tab. Make sure you are allowing images to load. (there's a long list of options here)
Then check your Privacy level, Tools-Internet Options-Privacy tab. For general browsing, set it to Medium.
Check Security level, Tools-Internet Options-Security. Choose Internet and then click on Default Level.
If this doesn't help you out, then the next thing to try would be your Personal Firewall / Antivirus software. Try disabling it temporarily when viewing Yahoo. See if that gets the images to load.
Another thing to check, sometimes you'll get a message bar right under your tool bar that asks if you want to allow images and links. You will miss it if you don't know it's there. But usually your computer will give you a popup that asks if you noticed the massage bar.
