I understand that Flash Player is not compatible with Vista 64-bit browser. Is there any way around it? I've read that you can run a 32-bit browser. The problem is that all that is foreign to me. What I am really wanting to do is to be able to see stuff on YouTube. I have windows media player. Any suggestions on what I can do. If so, please tell me in idiot form, as I really don't know much about computers. Thanks.
RealPlayer will allow you to play flash video (flv). Once you download RealPlayer, you can either make it your universal media player or you can manually configure it to play Flash video. RealPlayer can be downloaded from the link below.
If you need further help in downloading RealPlayer or configuring it, feel free to ask. I would advise playing very close attention to what you download with RealPlayer and how you set it up. RealPlayer won't install any bugs per se but you don't want to take on 'extra baggage'.
Okay Toast, help, please. I've downloaded RealPlayer and QuickTime Player, still not letting me view YouTube. This is the message I'm getting, which is what I originally got...
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.
will take you to a page with the latest version (free) of adobe flash for you to download.
BTW, asking toast (AKA. mr. snowman pants, abeula) for technical advice is like asking a poorly trianed chimp for technical advice. He was trying to convince people that ISP over power lines was a good idea and called an up speed under 500kbps a "good" connection.
