I bought "tomato trees" from an online store and they were delivered to my house. I planted them and did everything the instructions said and to this point have had fantastic results. The tomato plants are huge. The plants have 20 to 30 blooms each with more coming on. However, the blooms are dying and then falling off at the stem and I have not seen one tomato! What am I doing wrong? Here's a couple of details to know...They are in very large pots not in the ground, so I wasn't sure if that played a factor. I have been faithful to water them twice a day and have used miracle grow twice a week. When I first planted them, I used water mixed with miracle grow almost every day or every other day. Is this the error? The plants look extremely healthy and hearty - except for the lack of tomatoes!

I don't have an answer to why your tomato blooms are falling off because I am having the same problem. I, too, have my tomato plants in large containers on my back deck. They seem to get plenty of sunshine and I water and fertilize them regularly. If anyone has any suggestions as to what is happening then please let us know. Thanks.

I looked up and saw that Cindi had posted a similar response to our problem a couple of years ago - she made 2 comments -

1. It could be due to the 90 plus degree weather we had.

2. It could be due to over fertilizing, which I think might be my problem - I'm going to lay off the Miracle Grow and see what happens.

Good luck!
