Hi Cindi: Last fall I had a failed attempt at power-seeding my lawn. Only half of the grass seed came up, and at that it was sporatic. This spring I decided to try it again. This time it worked, yet I have noticed that in some areas it's beginning to rot. This has happened to me several times before, not just in my current yard, but in previous yards as well. The grass germinates, gets adequate amounts of sun and rain, looks perfect, then begins to rot. Also, at times I have seen a black fungus/mold begin to form - not this year so far, but in previous years. What is happening to my perfect lawn and why does the new grass rot away? I'm wondering if it's getting too much water, either by rain or by sprinkler, not enough sun, or maybe even a mold from the straw bale I used when I seeded. I have spent a fortune on grass seed this year (Confederate Fescue $85+ per 50lb bag) and I just hate to see it all rot away. Can you help? Many thanks. Tim
