I was watching Wave 3 Listens today, and thought I could pass on one of our family tricks for poison ivy, and for those folks who get irritated from the leaves when they work in their veggie gardens. Wash with a bar of Fels Naptha soap right after touching either. I have even showered with it after being in the garden. It is an old brown soap that I think was used with the old laundry washboards? The stores that carry it usually have the large bars stacked somewhere close to the laundry detergent. I get an immediate relief from the redness from the garden leaves, and when I accidentally get into poison ivy, I wash with the soap, and have not gotten full blown irritation from poison ivy in years. Hope it works for some of you out there!
