[b:3b8cdbfa36]Last summer I made a topiary heart frame and placed it in a pot with a new Ivy starter. The ivy grew all summer and when it bacame cold outside...the plant completely turned brown and died. I have it in a south window...the shades are usually pulled in the day time while I am at work. I wanted to know how to keep Ivy plants living during the Winter...I have terrible luck.[/b:3b8cdbfa36]

Open the shade slightly during the day, keep the soil evenly moist-water whenever the soil surface feels dry, and keep the humidity up around the plant by grouping it with other plants or keeping it on a pebble tray with water under the pebble layer. Mist it occasionally as well and check often for evidence of pest problems like spider mites. Keep it away from heat vents and cold drafts and it should be fine.
